Option 1: Do Nothing
Pro: You keep your best friend.
Con: You have to wake up each morning and go to bed every night knowing that deep down, you are envious of your best friend because they are dating the person that you like.
Option 2: End The Relationship with Your Best Friend
Pro: This will probably decrease how much you have to see and hear about your best friend and your crush dating.
Con: You are losing your best friend over someone you have a crush on, and who might not even have the same amount of feelings for you as you do for them, and even if you and your best friend do make up in the future, this will potentially be an ugly, long-lasting scar on you and your best friend’s relationship.
Option 3: Try To Break Up Your Best Friend and Your Crush
Pro: You no longer have to deal with your best friend dating the person you like, and you are now free to try to date your crush.
Con: Your peers, best friend (obviously) and family members may alienate you. Also, you are sabotaging your best friend’s relationship, which will most likely be a major turn-off to your crush, and the chances of them dating you will decrease.
